WHAT ARE OUR FUNDS USED FOR?

The Mpls Lakers' mission is to provide and create basketball opportunities that build both a foundation of skills and a lifelong love for the game.

Your charitable donation helps us cover the costs for many components of the program, which include:

  • Need-based scholarships for 10% of the players in the program

  • Regularly refreshed equipment for teams (balls, first aid kits, etc)

  • Online training for our coaches through the Trusted Coaches program

  • 4-6 hours of basketball coaching training for our coaching staffs

  • Our website & league software powered by SportsEngine


Components that have increased significantly over the last two years:

  • Insurance

  • Facilities Rentals


We are proud of what the Mpls Lakers does for boys and girls in the 4th through 8th grade but we also see opportunities to expand our reach.  Donations of any amount will help us build the organization in a strategic and thoughtful way aligned with our mission.
