The Minneapolis Lakers Community mourns the loss of Jeff Stevens.
A dedicated coach and board member, Jeff volunteered his time and passion to serving his community by mentoring our youth, teaching the game of basketball, encouraging kids to be the best version of themselves, and built lasting relationships.
His coaching accomplishments include leading two teams to State Championships; one girls team, and one boys team. His participation on the Mpls Lakers Board is an example of leadership that inspires others to continue a legacy of service to our youth and our community.
Our organization is blessed to have Jeff’s impact and it would not be where it is today without his thoughtful guidance and presence. We extend our deepest condolences to Jeff’s family: Erica, Maia, Michael, and Maren. We are grateful for Jeff being a part of our lives.
It is our honor to announce the Jeff Stevens Memorial Scholarship Fund, which continues his legacy.
We realize that traveling sports costs can be burdensome for families. This fund collects donations to be put towards Mpls Lakers Scholarships that help players afford season fees.
You can contribute to this fund in memory of Jeff by sending your donation via Paypal or by sending a check.
